چکیده
Road network acts as a vein for the socio-economicdevelopment of country. To maintain sustainable development, countries all over world are investing heavily in road infrastructure development. Bangladesh, an essential partner Asian Highway, is alsoinvesting But due to poorplanning, inefficient implementing agencies, inadequate pavementdesign, low-quality construction practices, lack pavementmaintenance, rampant overloading & tropical climaticconditions, investment not yielding desired result. In current trend pavement 95% flexible [16]. Due climatic conditions regular flash floods during rainy season, water stagnation damages pavements severely. The rigid has high potential survivability against damage stagnation. transportation agencies emphasize on least initial cost rather thanthe Life Cycle Costas only tool type selection. low cost, always gets priority pavement. this research, Cost Analysisof and had been done Sylhet-Bholagajroad comprising both portions. design data different Schedule Rates collected from Roads Highways Departmenthad used analysis. 12% discount rate was convert estimated future costs Net Present Value. After performing life cycle analysis, it can be concluded that optimal choice pavementfor developing countries like Bangladesh.

An integrated life cycle assessment and life cycle analysis model for pavement overlay systems
Pavement systems have significant impacts on the environment and economy due to large material consumption, energy input, and capital investment. To evaluate the sustainability of rigid pavement overlay designs, an integrated life cycle assessment and life cycle cost analysis model was developed to calculate the environmental impacts and costs of overlay systems resulting from material producti...

Air-Conditioning (AC) systems are responsible for a considerable portion of the energy consumption in buildings located in high cooling load requiring regions of Iran. In addition, the heat flow through the buildingschr('39') external walls plays a major role in cooling load estimations for the countrychr('39')s hot regions. Therefore, application of insulation materials in external walls has g...
متن کاملThe Challenges of Applying Cost Benefit Analysis to IT in Developing Countries
Investing in Information Technology (IT) has been considered a risky venture by the administrations of many developing countries. The high cost of IT, the lack of financial and technical resources, and the high rate of failure of many public-sector information systems are only few of the negative factors affecting top-level administration decisions regarding IT projects. However, applying an ef...
